Baby Bump

Last Sunday Matthew took a couple pictures of my ever growing belly. It seems like it is already bigger than this, but I just thought I'd give you an update on my silhouette. Not much else has been going on besides work and creating fun projects for our baby girl!

Let Freedom Ring

This weekend we spent celebrating our Independence. We woke up early Saturday morning to watch the hot air balloons take off from Bulldog field. Unfortunately it was windy and only three balloons took off from the ground but it made for some great pictures when you have a talented photographer for a husband.
We rested a little and were able to go to Veterans Memorial Pool for a couple of hours and try to cure our bodies of the whiteness that Winter has caused.
To finish the day off right, we had a barbeque at the park and loved our day of spending time together and relaxing.

A Baby Surprise

This week was full of surprises! We found out the sex of our baby and Matthew got a promotion! Whoo hoo! To add to the list I thought I would surprise my mom on her birthday. I "lied" to her and told her I was finding out what we are having a couple days after we actually were. We found out on her birthday and I couldnt wait to tell her. The video pretty much explains it all, but we are so excited to start planning for a baby girl, coming this fall! We cant wait!

Draper Temple

Last Saturday we went to the Draper Temple. We are hoping to visit a new temple a month in Utah. Seeing as how there are so many, we will keep ourselves busy. Next month is Manti! We are hoping to see the Manti Pageant while we are down there.
The city of Draper surrounding the temple was beautiful and made us realize that Provo is, lets face it... kind of dumpy. I guess we were spoiled living in beautiful Lafayette for the past year that we quickly started making plans to live in a nicer area. hahah!
Matthew is the photographer of the family and is great at documenting our trips. However, that means you pretty much get pictures of just me. We are working on getting pictures together. Pretty soon, (not as soon as I would like) you will get an overload of pictures of our little baby! For now... here are a couple of pictures of our day in Draper.

Matthew trying to get a picture of my slowly growing belly.

Capturing the Tulips!

While its not the greatest picture, it is a picture of the two of us together!

Happy Anniversary

Two years ago, yesterday, Matthew and I were sealed in the Newport Beach Temple. We celebrated by going to dinner in Salt Lake on Saturday and touring the This Is The Place monument. On our actual anniversary we were able to go miniature golfing. Something we had never done as a couple. We are glad to finally check that one off our list. It has been so fun to look back on the past two years at all that we have accomplished and experienced together. I cannot imagine spending my life with a greater person. Matt is such a great husband and will be a great father.
That time is coming soon! We are expecting a baby on Nov. 4th! I am fifteen weeks along and slowly starting to feel better. They say the second trimester is the best! We are excited for what the future has in store as we share many more life experiences together.

Baby Wade and my CA Adventure

This weekend I had the opportunity to go down to Southern California and spend some time with my family. It was the first chance I had to see my new nephew, and let me tell you... he is adorable!!! Kerstin and I made the desserts for her baby shower and they were a huge success!!
It was A Bugs Life theme, so we made some cute bug cupcakes. Jackson loved all the different bugs and had a hard time not being able to eat them.
Here are our bumble bees and dragonflys. They were so much fun to make!
Jackson was such a big helper in the kitchen. He loves being involved and loved eating the cookies and cupcakes even more! This precious boy was blessed this past Sunday at church and was the star of the show with his blue eyes and blonde fauxhawk. He is so adorable, it was hard to say goodbye and come back home.
We were missing a couple of our family members, but we still had a great time enjoying some family, and homemade tacos!

Ode to Beth

Dear Beth Bos,

Thank you for staying with us throughout the years. Due to your donations alone, we have been able to continue our Tab product line since our humble beginnings in 1963. You didn't even flinch when the FDA tried banning our product in the late 60's due to the negative side effects associated with saccharin. Even with the rapid decline of sales in the early 80's, corresponding with the introduction of Diet Coke, you didn't abandon us. We continue to hear accounts of you protesting for stores to carry our products throughout cities in Texas and beyond. You truly are the ideal customer!

With Great Gratitude,

Tab

Baptism Day

A couple weeks ago Matthew had the opportunity to baptize his neice Ashley. It was such a great day filled with family and love. We loved seeing Matt's parents, as they flew in from Texas! What great parents/grandparents! It was such a special day for Ashley and Matt.
A few days before, I helped with Ashley's birthday party. Her mom planned this great pirate party and I was in charge of the treasure hunt. It was so much fun to watch all the girls get excited about finding buried treasure. Here is a picture of the pirates and their loot!

Woohoo!!!!!

We joined the work force!!!! After four months of searching, Matthew and I both got jobs on the same day! I am working at the White Willow Reception Center in provo, baking cakes, doing wedding flowers, and being an event planner! I am so excited to have a job that is so aligned with my interests.
Matthew is working at Property Solutions as an account manager and had his first day today! We are looking forward to having our own place again and feeling like we are adults!

Cupcakes for Colette

Yesterday I threw a baby shower for my best friend from high school, Colette! There was lots of food, games, gifts, girls and babies! She had six babies born in her ward in the past week! I guess thats what happens when you live in Provo, Utah.
The day before the shower was spent preparing the food! Yep, it pretty much took all day. I guess if I were more skilled I could have done it faster, but Matt and I had fun making the ducks. He was such a big help and deserves at least half the credit for everything turning out great!

Here is our watermelon baby carriage. (Sorry the picture is a little overexposed.)

The table display. I dont know if you can tell, but the punch was supposed to be ducks floating in the water. The bubbles are vanilla ice cream!

We had leftover fondant, so I decided we had to make pirate cupcakes for Matthew's neice. It was her birthday this week and she is going to have a pirate party. Arghhh!
