Do All Mom's Cry?

Brooklyn got her two month shots last week, and I think she handled it better than I did. She screamed, but it only made my tears come. I couldn't even look at the nurse afterward because my eyes would give me away. (as if she couldn't tell I was crying :) If she was older I could give her a treat afterward and tell her she did such a great job, but I couldnt give her anything! Just lots of hugs and kisses and I'm sorrys. Brooklyn was a little fussy for the next day, but is doing great now!

Brooklyn's Blessing

Brooklyn was blessed the day after Christmas by her dad. He gave a wonderful blessing and we were able to share the day with 39 other members of our family. Matthew's parents and sister and her husband were able to be there, as well as my parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and future cousins! Afterward we all went back to my parents house to eat and enjoy each other's company. Thanks to my mom and dad for hosting so many people at their house and for such a wonderful day!

(More pictures to come of the holidays soon!)

28!!!

My wonderful, amazing, talented, hard-working, loving, funny, husband turned 28 yesterday! Unfortunately he had to work, but after work we went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate! Then we came home to open presents and watch Tommy Boy! As many of you know Matthew is not a fan of sweets, so sad to say, we had no birthday cake, but it was still fun to celebrate this amazing husband and father! We love him sooooooooooooo much!!!!!

A Present for Brooklyn (Shhh…nobody tell her :)

In an effort to provide Brooklyn with a one of a kind Christmas present, and to help her become aquainted with what you look like, we request that family and friends send a photo of yourself. That way she can become familiar with your beautiful faces!

Preferably send the largest black and white photo files you have (babies see contrast a lot better than color) so we can print them and put them in an album for her. If you dont have black and white photos, just send what you have and I can convert it myself. You can send the pictures to matthewrbos@gmail.com.

Thank you in advance for sending us a picture of your gorgeous self!

4 Weeks!

Brooklyn is 4 weeks old today and I can't believe it. The time flew by (well, except when she just wanted to be awake in the middle of the night!) It has been so much fun being a mom. I guess I didn't really know what to expect, but the thing that amazes me the most is the amount of love that I have for her. It continues to grow every day and I find myself just staring at her all the time. She is so precious and has brought so much joy into my life. I find I dont always get to take a shower every day and sometimes I am in my pajamas for two days straight, but when I see her cute smile it makes my heart melt and everything else I thought mattered, just kind of fades away. I feel so blessed to be a mom and share the amazing responsibility of being a parent with such a fun loving, energetic, and thoughtful husband and dad!

Naughty and Nice

So we were taking some pictures of our daughter today. After viewing them we noticed an unsettling trend. Two out of the five images have us wondering if it would be premature to give her a time out. See if you can guess which ones! The other three just make our hearts melt!

Brown House Boys

Two of Matt's previous roommates were in town this past weekend and we were able to spend a little bit of time catching up with them. It was so good to see them and I know Matt missed being able to spend time with the guys. They went to a BYU game, and fortunately BYU actually won!

Projects

With two weeks to go until D-Day and work slowing down I find myself with a lot of spare time. To fill the time I have been creating mini projects for myself. My proudest moment was this diaper bag I made. I found a tutorial online and in about a day I had myself a new diaper bag, complete with magnetic clasps, pockets on all sides, a zipper in the back, and a waterproof lining. Since browsing the crafty blogger world, and believe me, it is another world, I have been inspired to be more creative with my holiday decorations. I found an ugly plastic pumpkin at DI and turned it into a cute little beauty by painting it black, painting some letters and pouring some acrylic lacquer on it to make it shiny. I have also been working on a bunch of Christmas presents for my sister and sister-in-laws, but no picture will be posted as it will be a surprise for them!

I cant believe I have two more weeks until I am a mom. Hopefully she doesnt come too much after that, because I am already starting to go crazy, and I want my body back! hahah
