Brown House Boys

Two of Matt's previous roommates were in town this past weekend and we were able to spend a little bit of time catching up with them. It was so good to see them and I know Matt missed being able to spend time with the guys. They went to a BYU game, and fortunately BYU actually won!

Projects

With two weeks to go until D-Day and work slowing down I find myself with a lot of spare time. To fill the time I have been creating mini projects for myself. My proudest moment was this diaper bag I made. I found a tutorial online and in about a day I had myself a new diaper bag, complete with magnetic clasps, pockets on all sides, a zipper in the back, and a waterproof lining. Since browsing the crafty blogger world, and believe me, it is another world, I have been inspired to be more creative with my holiday decorations. I found an ugly plastic pumpkin at DI and turned it into a cute little beauty by painting it black, painting some letters and pouring some acrylic lacquer on it to make it shiny. I have also been working on a bunch of Christmas presents for my sister and sister-in-laws, but no picture will be posted as it will be a surprise for them!

I cant believe I have two more weeks until I am a mom. Hopefully she doesnt come too much after that, because I am already starting to go crazy, and I want my body back! hahah

The leaves aren't the only things changing around here...

This is my "Tag...you're it" face. Sometimes I wish I could just hand the baby over to Matt. Usually at night time, when she is up and I am trying to sleep. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Our Nursery!

I finally feel like I can check the baby's room off the list. I created so many projects for myself that I thought I would never finish. Yesterday, I finished the bed skirt for the crib and finally feel like our nursery is baby ready! Here are a couple pictures of our projects. We are 99% sure of the name, but want to see her before its final. hahah Hopefully its a girl like they said! Here is the finished bumper and bed skirt that took longer than I thought it would! A close up of the pillows and cute fabricThis was Matthew's cool project... he saw something similar in a store and decided he could do it himself. This one is way cuter!A side view of the paintings I did for her that hang over the changing table.
Now...more waiting for the baby to come!

Baby Shower!

This past week I drove down to CA with my friend Colette and her two boys. We went down because the best mom ever and the best sister ever threw me a baby shower. It was Dr. Seuss themed and adorable! They had tons of cute decorations like the...Horton Hears A Who diaper cake
Cat in the Hat raspberry shooters
Dr. Seuss cupcakes
Green Eggs and Ham deviled eggs
and more!

It was so much fun to see friends and family and feel so loved. I was definitely spoiled and loved every minute of it. Little baby Bos is going to be one stylin little girl as she got so many precious outfits that I cant wait for her to wear.
Here are a couple more pictures of the fun night!
Me and my sister-in-law Jenn
(My mom thought it would be a good idea for me to wear a Dr. Seuss hat:)
Kerstin, me and Marie
My friend Crystal and our big bellies. She is due in a couple weeks with a girl too! We used to have minnie mouse parties together when we were three! My wonderful parents after a wonderful night!
Thanks to everyone who made that night so special!

Mom and Pop Bos

We were pleasantly surprised when Matthew's parents came into town last weekend. We were able to spend some much needed quality time with them by going on lots of car drives, playing games, eating good food and enjoying each other's company. They were our lifesaver and drove us around since we were still missing our car. We loved spending time with them and look forward to their next visit at Thanksgiving!

Lake Powell

Its that time of year again... the most wonderful time of the year. The time when my family gets together and spends a week on the shores of Lake Powell. Even though I wasn't able to wakeboard or ski this year, (due to the ever growing belly) it was a blast! I love spending so much time with family, floating in the water, riding in the boat, and relaxing. Matthew was able to get some big air and clear the wake, and I was the best cheerleader I could be. :)
Unfortunately we had to cut our vacation short to go back to work. Ughh. I cant wait till next year when we will have a little eight month old to chase after!

On the way home we broke down in Scipio and had to get our car towed. We also racked up a huge bill to fix the car! We are finding out what it is like to be without a car. Grocery shopping is a little more difficult. Here is Matt trying to find out what to do with a broken down car.

Elder Miller Enters the MTC

Little Josh went into the MTC July 28th to serve in the Costa Rica mission. He was so ready to go and showed up to the MTC with lots of friends there already. I think that helped soothe my mom's fears and helped in the departure. Which by the way, the curbside drop off is the way to go! Not as many tears, just like ripping off a band-aid. I am so proud of my little brother and am excited for all the experiences he will have in the next two years.
